Connection for Alpine Climate Control and Parking Sensor InterfacesMany original factory head units have climate control and parking displays, which will be lost if the unit is removed. With the X800D-U, this is not a problem, as it supports Alpine interfaces that provide attractive graphic displays of climate control and parking information. This ensures full integration of the Alpine system with the car for greater driving safety and convenience. Parking sensor displays distances to the front and rear, making it easier and safer to maneuvre into and out of parking spaces. Camera display gives you a clear view as you park. Front and rear distances are also shown. The system automatically mutes on reverse to hear the sensor sound. Full climate and heater contour display including air vent settings and seat heater display makes it easy to achieve desired settings. Alpine X800D-U Installation KitsCleanly installing an 8” screen into a regular dashboard can be a challenge, so Alpine provides an increasing number of installation kits, including everything from mechanical parts to adapters and interfaces for Steering Wheel Remote Control and Vehicle Display (if available). Installation kits are available for various vehicles like many Volkswagen, Seat and Skoda, Mercedes A Class (W169), B Class (T245), Vito and Viano, Kia Sportage, Mitsubishi ASX, Nissan Qashqai. Now you can enjoy radio with excellent digital sound quality. Built-in DAB, DAB+ and DMB tuners use the latest tuning technology to deliver consistent sound clarity, no matter where you’re driving. In areas where DAB is not available, the unit will automatically switch between RDS and DAB, for continuous high quality reception. It also offers Service Search and a DAB antenna power supply. Connect your HDMi enabled smartphone or portable media player via HDMI connection to enjoy all your video content on the X800D-U’s high resolution display. Full digital data transfer and the WVGA display ensure excellent image quality. An optional HDMI cable (KCU-610HD for iPhone, Sony Xperia ACRO and Motorola, etc or KCU-610MH for HTC ONE, Samsung Galaxy S4, Sony Xperia Z, etc) is required.
The 8” screen is also great for navigation, giving you a better view of more details. Even small street names become clearly visible. This makes driving a more relaxing experience and also contributes to safety.
The X800D-U presents an entirely new level of user-friendly operation by giving you the choice of viewing two sources at the same time. You don’t have to go back and forth between two screens, selecting different menus. All the information you want is right in front of you. Simple touch screen icons and customisable functions add to the convenience.
Alpine makes it easy to integrate the X800D-U with the factory system in your car. We have interfaces that let you operate functions via the steering wheel remote control and use a sub-display to view information from the head unit on the gauges. It’s all part of the One Look Navi concept aimed at letting you keep your eyes on the road.
In addition to keeping you informed and entertained, Alpine wants to improve your safety. The One Look Safety features include Advanced Bluetooth capabilities and rear view camera support.
